Modern Beach House Contours Following The Sloped Terrain

A young couple dreaming of a happy family residence commissioned Longhi Architects to design their dream home in Lima, Peru. Named Beach House Q, the 404 square meters residence connects to the outdoors via sliding glass panels that lead from the common space occupied by the living and dining to the outdoor terrace. An infinity pool at the edge of the wooden terrace gathers views of the surroundings while offering moments of pure relaxation. Rounded columns support the weight of the structure, creating a personalized floor plan. On the other side of the house, customized to suit the kitchen and private zone, the slightly sloping terrain embraces the rooms. Some furniture is incorporated into the interior architecture, creating a strong bond between the straight lines of the volumes and the usable surfaces. Longhi Architects used the site specific conditions mixed with the inhab itants’ needs to create a stunning, almost transparent suite of spaces.
